My name is Vanessa and I'm 30 years old. I'm an artist, creator, Mexika dancer, and blogger. I love sharing knowledge that will help people in there everyday lives. I studied Communication Arts: Illustration at Otis College of Art and Design and recieved my BFA in 2012. I'm very excited to be part of a growing community!

This is one of my most recent illustrations. I also paint, make paper mache sculptures, mask making, and hand sewn illustrations. I will post my works soon.

Love those awesome headpieces, what are they made of?
Thank you. The head pieces are made with many materials. Lots of cutting thick cardboard and binding, and hand sewing, some have hand beaded patterns, some even use nails and screws to hold together. My husband enjoys creating them. He made the one he is wearing and the one my daughter is wearing. But there are also many makers in the Mexica community who dedicate their life to creating regalia. :)
