Hello Steemit World! My name is Floyd. Yes, my parents actually named me Floyd. I am a newbie to cryptocurrencies, and I'm jumping in head first, reading and researching as much as I can every day about this fascinating new economy vehicle. As new as this industry... or whatever you call it is, and while watching Bitcoin explode, I feel like I'm getting in late. But I have a positive outlook that this wave is just starting to build, and that I (we), can ride it all the way to the golden shore. I shall make my first currency(ies) purchase in short order. Simultaneously, I am joining the Steemit community, and this is my #introduceyourself post. Nice to meet you.
A little about myself: I have made my meager living over the past 30 years as a full time musician and entertainer, moonlighting in Information Technologies, Audio/Visual Tech work, Website Development, Real Estate photography and videography, and some lite construction. I have been a youtuber for many years, and I have made a few shekels being a content creator on that site. I am an FAA Licensed Drone Pilot and an avid traveler.
I possess many other diverse interests, hobbies and skill sets. I love nature, science, animals and the outdoors. I consider myself a woodsman. I am also a veteran of the United States Navy. Life is good!
I could go on... and I will, right here on Steemit. Sharing with you, my stories and experiences, and enjoying yours as well. Hopefully, I may even entertain you a little. I look forward to this venture, and I wish you all the best for great success and much joy and gratitude in your lives.

as for being new to crypto ; i am the same, perhaps you can follow me and we can learn from each other, or teach each other if we figure stuff out lol .
Also ; i have recently started my own business - seeing how big of a team i can build without any funding, and i help other people start their own online empire and get them making money in their spare time, so far it is just a favor system ;
Although some are starting youtube and twitch streaming, some have started affiliate market places, one is even writing her second book on spirituality ; while her first is being typed up and soon to be published .
perhaps if we cannot learn or teach from each other ; we can at least collaborate together at some time in the future ; i feel like you will do fantastic work here on this platform .
