The Real DRT ARTS please stand up.

Found out about this community on YouTube doing a lot of random research for growing as a visual artist.
My name is Dillion(DRT ARTS) I'm 25 and a father and freelance artist.
Art has always been one of the most influence and things on my life and it proved to be most important when I was at my lowest points.
I spent approximately 5 years in a toxic relationship that ended up leaving me alienated from my child for the last 2 1/2 + years.
Going from seeing your child every single day and being a part of their day to seeing them for two hour visits in a center once every few weeks to every few months..
Then being forced to switch to a visitation center that charges $36 an hour to hang out with your child..
Going to court dozens of times to try and get custody of your child only to be met with BS from her free lawyer..
I started to develop bad anxiety and depression do to being drug through this hell and didn't know what to do..
I tried medications and therapy but the only thing that seem to pull me out of a funk was just sitting down to some music and doing art..
Just literally spacing the rest of the world out and focusing on what was right in front of me..
You hit a point where you can't let a narcissistic human control your everyday emotions from past events..
You don't stop caring about your child but you learn how to disconnect from emotions while working towards the day you actually get to see them again..
My child will know how much Ive cared.
Through art I have gained new levels of discipline and patience that transfer over to how I deal with conflict and issues with people.

Anyways sorry for rambling I hope to be a useful contributing member of this community
