El martes pasado, mientras estábamos en antena en el programa de radio "Andando y Viendo" de la 98.0 FM, el cual iba dedicado en gran medida a la memoria del gran poeta alicantino Miguel Hernández (1.910-1.942), improvisé un pequeño poema pero que, con las cosas del directo, al final no tuve tiempo de leer a los oyentes.
Last Tuesday, while we were on the radio program "Walking and Viewing" 98.0 FM, which was largely dedicated to the memory of the great Alicante poet Miguel Hernandez (1.910-1.942), I improvised a small poem but I couldn't finally read it to the listeners live.
Comparto ahora con vosotros/as este serventesio (arte mayor, rima consonante, 11A-11B-11A-11B).
I now share with you this "serventesio" (major art, consonant rhyme, 11A-11B-11A-11B).
Lucha ejemplar de un poeta insaciable,
que de letra y guerra jamás te hastiaste,
por un credo poético alcanzable,
la bella Alicante huérfana dejaste.
A ti, maestro, y a todos aquellos grandes poetas y escritores que, de una manera u otra, la guerra y el predominio del sinsentido nos arrebataron.
To you master, and to all those great poets and writers who, in one way or another, the war and the predominance of the nonsense have snatched us.

I didn't translated the poem because it loses the rhyme and even the meaning.
Poetry is a very particular art that sometimes it's better to preserve in its original form.
