Introduction to me.

in #limpopo7 years ago

what will interest people? Current occupational habits perhaps since my name is dot-gov you know I have something to do with government. As a politician I have to look at the world around me objectively I must see the growth of my urban environment and instruct actions that guards against my concerns like that of none payment to the power supplier. I am an alarmist. None payment renders hundreds of thousands in the dark despite them paying us instead of the power supplier directly. We get to buy power in bulk sell it at a profit and use that to maintain the grid.

On top of this I should also keep an eye on spacial planning. Poorly planned roads make a town an ant hill and leaves the suburbs looking like a after civil war scene. It is vital for a city to balance recreational areas shopping centers and urban areas to avoid the flocking to a centralized point unless that was the intention all along. State symbols are generally elevated so all eyes are on the state seeing the Majesty of its guidance if done right.

So this is the background obviously there is more to that. We didn't even touch on health and safety or education that's a big words we politicians like to trough around. Also job creation. Thats an evil one it sounds good and all but in reality its usually covered by people who lack economic vision.

Now to place myself. I live in Messina Limpopo South Africa. An alien world to those not familiar to the terrain. We climate to a yearly maximum average of say 32 Celsius. It is described as a swamp of the Limpopo delta in the summer rainy season I call bull its not nearly that wet. In the harsh winter seasons come and seasons go with no rain. Trees become twigs and stumps. Grass fields become dirt plains yet the wildlife remain. always ready to embrace a new years rain. To the West there lies a natural treasure wold heritage site Mapungubwe famous for its rock formations. To the East its The Kruger national park a densely populated wildlife reserve. To the south the Soutpansberg mountain range named after its salt flats. To the north the mighty Limpopo river (when in flood) its the largest underground river in the world.

Finally I should have a sense of unity in this intro I guess. I share a love of the land an admiration for the people. Limpopo is the friendly province in a crime ridden country people come here to relax. We should let them. It is a beautiful place where dry bush veld dominated by wild animals switches over to forestry plantations thick jungle and fields of crops. From tea to maze to peanuts to citrus you mention it be can grow it if we don't or cant we will find a way that is the way of the people of this peaceful province.
