Darkness Arrival - Chapter IV
"Guys, what is that r-red li-light ...?" said James.
We were stubborn enough to get closer and noticed that the woman was walking towards it as well. Suddenly, we see an open space in the distance in the middle of the woods and the woman stopped walking. We rushed to check what was happening.
"Look! There are more naked people, what is going on!?"
"Let's get behind those trees to see what they are doing" I said.
When we got to the trees, we realized there were 6 men and 6 women standing naked around a big hole in the dirt. The hole was really big and a strong red light was coming out of it. There were ashes floating around everyone.
"Guys, I think this is getting really weird ..." said John.
"They look drugged ..." said James.
"What is she grabbing?"
"I think it's a knife ..."
Suddenly, one of the women started slashing one man's forehead. We were shocked and couldn't even say anything, we just watched in silence. We realized she was writing something. Everyone else was quiet and looking at the hole. Then, the man grabbed the knife from the woman and started slashing another one's forehead. It seemed like a pattern. They all started to do the same, one by one until they reached the end of the circle.
They got closer to the hole and leaned their upper body towards the hole and blood started to flow from their heads to it.
We couldn't believe what we were seeing.
"We should get the fuck out of here!"
"Yes, le-let's do that ..."
"Don't make any noise."
We backed out and when we were far enough, started running fast away from there.
An hour later...
"There is no house in here, where are we?" said James.
"Wait! I think I see a cabin there, it's not far, let's go, move!" said John.
When we got to the cabin, there was an old man standing just in front of the door sitting on a chair.
"Gentlemen, what are you looking for on a special night like this one?" said the old man.
