Burnt Hamster Minestrone
About a year and a half ago, Ben Ditmars decided to join me in putting
together an Arts & Lit magazine for my small press, Burnt Hamster
Publishing. I looked for templates for my Serif Page Plus software and
the only thing that seemed remotely usable was a template for church
newsletters. Ministries, which is how we settled on the name of Burnt
Hamster Minestrone for our publication.
That church newsletter template turned out to be horrible for our project,
so we sat on our hands for 8 months while working as agents for UK Author
Paul Burton's memoir: Sex, Droogs, Music: Now But Madness Left. Which
no major publisher has made an offer on so Burnt Hamster Publishing will
be serializing the memoir in two parts.
Casey Taylor, a local artist, joined our ranks last fall, and as Chief Honcho
in charge of being Chief Honcho on the Burnt Hamster Minestrone project,
I made the Chief Honcho decision of putting together the publication in
a physical layout, old school, Cut Up Style, and scan our taped up layout
sheets on a large flatbed scanner. 11X17 inch color scans.
We are currently in Pre Proposal with Dash Network to fund printing and
distribution, they will be the sole crypto we will be approaching for our
publication series.
