Howdy Steemit! Introducing ME!

Hi everyone in the Steemit community! My name is Brett LaBella and I am a High school Senior in a small Florida town. From a young age I have had an interest in science, math, and technology. Recently, I have taken an interest in Economics and how currency drives an economy. A few years ago I read an article on cryptocurrency and found it absolutely fascinating. Now that I'm older, I have really taken an interest on how this whole new community was formed through cryptocurrency. My main reasons for joining Steemit is to connect with people who share similar ideas as myself, learn new information in a fun and exciting way, and, of course, laugh at the funny memes. At school I am a senior class officer who helps plan events such as homecoming, prom, and fundraising events.

On top of my love for learning about new and exciting topics, I am a HUGE sports fan! There really isn't any sport that I don't enjoy watching, nor any team. However, my personal favorites are Football and Basketball. I can't wait to read what interesting sports posts are on here as I too would love to post about sports whenever I can.

I hope when I share my opinions and experiences on here that others can take meaningful and helpful ideas from them. I look forward to learning a plethora of things from everyone on here and being a productive Steemian in this fantastic community!

First, you will definitely find memes to laugh at here, as well as lot's of sports in the #sport tag.
Since I had the chance to visit one year of US high school for myself, I know how important people like you are, when it comes down to organizing great events like prom, homecoming,... Thx for that :)

Hi there @bennyandthejets! I'm curious as to why you picked your username. Are you an Elton John fan, or were you going for a pun?

Anyhow, glad to see you on the platform! It looks like you'll have plenty of things to share with us in the coming weeks and months! Steemit is a great way to learn more about cryptocurrencies and their impact on the world. It's also a fantastic place to share and exchange ideas!
