Night At Sanctum Alehouse And a Cool Discovery!
Yesterday Jason and I met up with our friends Steve and Jaime, his fellow musicians, for some beers and dinner in Chula Vista!
Sanctum is a new Alehouse in Chula Vista, tucked quietly in an older and often overlooked part of this city. But don’t let that keep you away!
It’s a very reasonably priced, clean and nice Alehouse that hosts game night weekly, has Nintendo games for its patrons and even hosts $5 beer pong tournaments!
Both our friends decided they wanted to play against each other as they both claimed to be champions of sorts! Lol
Seeing how competitive they were was entertaining but the best part was the discovery I made that night of one of our friends!
Well, it turns out Jaime grew up a couple of blocks from me. I asked him what high school he went to and he mentioned I might know his brothers. Their names didn’t immediately ring a bell but his last name was always familiar to me. I asked him what his mothers name was and immediately I knew who she was! She was actually a good friend of my mother when I was a little girl! His brothers would come over to play at my house and Jaime was still a baby! Such a small world, I had to text my mother who is out of the country on vacation and send her this picture asking her, “Guess whose kid this is!!!”
She was so happy to hear her friend was doing well! They lost touch after their family moved away. Such a small world right?

We said our goodbyes to Jaime and headed to a newer restaurant called Temp by Cosecha on 3rd Ave in Chula Vista.
It’s a rustic style restaurant specializing in fusion nuovo cuisine. I specially enjoyed my steak...
And the bok choy and Brussel sprouts drizzled with soy sauce and balsamic vinegar. Delicious!
All in all it was a great night! It’s always a great time when you’re in the company of good friends!

Aww thank you! Yes I’ve known him through Jason for a while now and barely discovered this! Truly is a tiny world! The steak was indeed so tender and delicious!
