Greetings from Hickville, USA!

Hi! I'm new here (as if you couldn't tell!), and I figured I needed to introduce myself! I'm 31 and a half years old, have a husband and a ten year old child. I worked as a professional photographer for a corporate studio before becoming a stay at home mom and branching off into my own little photography business (by little I mean I just started advertising a month ago). My specialty in this area is composites (taking multiple photographs and mashing them into one, like you make mashed potatoes, except far less delicious).

I help Tazewell ARC rescue dogs and cats here in Appalachia, and have four dogs and two cats of my own. If you follow me on Steemit, you'll see the dogs and my child often in my photos. The cats aren't so photogenic (they're cats, they think I'm the paparazzi if I get a camera out), so there's not going to be any of them.

I'm also an avid MMO'er! In the past I've played World of Warcraft, Aion, and currently play FFXIV and Guildwars2! Occasionally you may see art and screenshots from those games! Most of my digital art comes from these games, from people who commission me or of my own characters.

I plan to make some 'how to' tutorials using GIMP2 on composites and post-editing photographs. I use GIMP2 because it's freeware, and you can't beat the price of free!! If you're someone just starting out, or a hobby photographer, or just take some of your family, it can be hard to afford Lightroom or PS.
