Lake Sasyk-Sivash (Crimea, Evpatoria) - Swan landmark of the city of Evpatoria!

Оne of the most important attractions of our sunny city of Evpatoria - the wonderful lake Sasyk-Sivash.
The Sasik-Sivash lake stretches along its banks on either side of the Simferopol route bypass, between the cities of Evpatoria and Saki. This lake belongs to the largest and salty lakes of the Crimean peninsula, and covers an area of ​​75.3 square kilometers of the Saksky district and the Evpatoria city council. By origin Sasyk refers to the estuary.
Its name, I believe, was not accidental, since it comes from the Crimean Tatar "Sasyk" - smelly (under the Crimean summer hot sun the lake begins to exude the smell characteristic of the swamp).
Sasyk-Sivash is a very small lake, its maximum depth does not exceed only 1.2 meters, of course by the standards of, for example, Russia, it can be attributed to a simple puddle, but for the Crimean Sasyk-Sivash is simply huge.

This lake is one of the favorite places for anglers. What kind of fish it is possible to catch here, I'm not going to say exactly, but the fact that shrimp is being dragged from here is for sure.
The most interesting is that, despite the salinity of the water, Sasyk-Sivash in winter frosts in the Crimean frosts partially freezes.

It would seem that the lake is quite ordinary and there is nothing pretentious about it, but the attraction was formed only a few years ago, when, having flown here once at the winter hut, swans were left to live forever.

It all began with several families of these majestic birds, then, fed by people, they got offspring and today their number can be measured in hundreds.

Now the lake Sasyk-Sivash is a favorite place of rest for not only local residents, but also visitors of the city. In one place, the beach goes into the water a little and forms a "viewing platform", on which there are always visitors to this unofficial swan reservation.
Especially, to feed birds with bread is the entertainment of children. And, to be honest, adult communication with swans significantly improves mood.
There is no family photo on the background of swans, probably only for the lazy one.

Swans are so tamed by people that they boldly swim close to the shore and even, sometimes, get out of the water to take a slice of bread directly from the hands.

Adult birds can be admired from the shore, opening their mouths for hours, so they are attractive and amazing.
