A day at San Blas, the paradisiacal beaches of Panama
San Blas is a destination with 365 islands, one for each day of the year!, they affirmed during my visit to this paradisiacal archipelago. Virgin beaches and exuberant beauty, surrounded by reefs which makes them attractive for snorkeling. It belongs to the Caribbean, specifically to Panama, a country that I visited with a wonderful group of friends.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I like to investigate the destination to know: this is how I found about San Blas and I managed to convince each of my friends to go.
I'm insistent, the second day in Panama City we were leaving at 4 am in a rustic van to San Blas. The 3-hour tour took us to the archipelago dock, where Kimi, our guide Guna, was waiting for us, happy in his boat.

True to its roots, Kimi took us to meet its culture. The Guna, are the indigenous community that gives life to the region Guna Yala, we could appreciate how traditions are maintained, their houses of palms, the taste for music and dance, also make and sell their textile art called mola. It was a quick but enriching stop.
We embarked and while we went to the next island, we appreciated the landscape full of islets. We arrived at aguja island, which has numerous palm trees and a restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious lunch.

The crossing continued towards the natural pools, with sandbars and starfish. Here, I heard - Good thing we came! My friends were fascinated. Kimi, stopped his boat, and literally, we took a dip in the middle of the sea.

Perro Island
We felt that the tour has met our expectations, we were in paradisiacal waters, but there was more, Perro Island. A marvel of nature, white sand, blue waters and a sunken ship 10 meters from its coast. There we did snorkel, beautiful colorful fishes swimming through the remains of the boat, as if it were them house.
It was one of the best days in Panama, exhausted but happy we returned to the city.
In the world there are several natural paradises, San Blas is one of them!
