Narrow Road into the High Hills … Singapore – Street Photography

This narrow 1-way road takes you up into the hills along Singapore’s coast.

High in the hills  

The Southern Ridges stretch along the southern coast of Singapore, just south of Chinatown and the Central Business District. Because the hills in that area are quite steep, most of the area remains undeveloped, except as parkland. And what wonderful parkland it is. 

Great riding ahead … Great riding above

I would occasionally cycle up into those hills ­– but only when the weather was not too hot. It was a rather steep climb, and doing it in the heat was a bit tough. However, once I got to the top, I had kilometers of great riding ahead of me. Not only were the hills crisscrossed with cycling paths, they were also connected by various paths and bridges.   

I had not only great rides, but also great views. From various vantage points along the ridges, there are fantastic views of Sentosa Island and the sea stretching far beyond.    

And of course, I always ended my morning rides with a thrilling rush down those steep hills. Wheeeee!  Location – Singapore, on Google Maps
