Travel - Germany - Munich Part #1: One night in Munich
Munich is a truly awesome German city, the capital of the German state Bavaria as well as the home of the famous Octoberfest. It is a major centre of art, technology and innovation in Germany and, of course, beer!
During a work trip to Ulm, I decided to travelled to Munich over the weekend to explore. We got there late afternoon and, similar to the other German towns that I've been to, the architecture was really amazing with a great mix of historic and modern styles.
On our first night out we decided to walk to Marienplatz in the Inner City and find the famous Hofbräuhaus am Platzl, which is arguable the most famous beer hall in the world! We had a classic German Weissbier (aka wheat beer) to end an awesome day.
