The power of words (short story)
I often say the most powerful weapon is your tongue with our words we can start wars and with our words we can bring peace. With our words we can encourage someone and with our words we can throw someone into the depths of despair. Our words have the power of life and death and so it is essential that we choose each word wisely. Let us choose to speak only words that build up, bring joy and spread peace. This beautiful sort story drive you in a way you will never forget!
As we were growing up, my mom used to tell us you have to be careful with the words we use. They have the power to make someone, or to break someone. My mom had an aunt who would always scold her son's that you're good for nothing. They grew and were unemployed most of the time. One day their mom asked, " why don't you take initiative and do something with you lives?". Their simple response was,"but mom, you always said we good for nothing".

This reminds me of a story about frogs that were going through the woods. 2 of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw, they told the 2 frogs there was no hope for them. The 2 frogs ignored what the others were saying and tried to jump out of the pit. The frogs at the top of the pit continued to say that they should just give up. They would never make it out. Eventually the one of the frogs listened, and gave up and fell to his death. But the other from continued to jump as hard as he could. Again the crowd of frogs yelled at him, "stop the pain and just die." But as they yelled, he jumped even harder. Until finally he made it out. When he got out, the other frogs asked, "did you just not hear us?" The frog explained that he was deaf. He thought they had been encouraging him.
Your words can have a huge effect on others lives. So think about what you say before it comes out of your mouth. It might be just the difference between life and death.
So together let's make this world a better place.
