Short Story: The Haughty Prince
Heya, fellow steemians and otakus! It's me again, @yuki-nee for another [Short Story] titled, "The Haughty Prince"
Once there was a haughty prince, who lived on the kingdom of Vence. The prince's so haughty that his nose is always pointing at the sky, to the chagrin of the king and queen, yet all they could do was sigh...
But one day the prince meet his match! He saw a proud donkey atop a thatch. The donkey saw the prince, yet only gave him a look of disdain. The prince is angered, and he walked towards the donkey with a swagger.
Yet the donkey only glance at the haughty prince, as if looking longer is a sin. Seeing this the prince almost staggered, the donkey actually have more swagger! The prince refuses to admit defeat and yell at the donkey in repeat.
The donkey just gave a disdainful snort. What creature is this prince of sort? Who do you think I am? I'm a heavenly proud donkey, that I am! The animals and people watching are dumbfounded. This donkey could truly leave people confounded. Its arrogance had reached the heaven, leaving the haughty prince in tears, even.
The poor prince could only kneel in defeat as the proud donkey started walking on the street. Nose pointing at the sky, it ignores the defeated prince who started to cry.
After that day the prince's haughtiness was no more. His defeat left his heart and nose feeling sore. They say that there's always a higher heaven, his match with the heavenly proud donkey proved that the they're not from the same realm even!
