Malcolm X was a controversial character and ultimately another victim of the cultural upheaval that shook the US in the 1960's.
He was divisive to the American public, African- American community within it and also the Nation of Islam. This divisiveness ultimately ended up with him being shot to death on 21st February 1965.

As a European, i never learned much about the man. Just a couple tidbits from the mainstream media.
But his quotes are awesome, and we've all seen how crooked the mainstream media is.
He was a great man, and like almost all of the great men in the 60's he was brutally murdered. A great decade , for many things but not so much if you were an advocate for freedom and equality.
By the looks of things, we're getting pretty ugly right now!

A personal inspiration of mine and a great selection of his quotes. I have been planning a piece on the contrasts between Malcom X, Martin Luther King & Black Lives Matter & this has spurred me on towards getting it done.
