A short story that teaches morals

Few years ago, I read a story that got me so emotional, I believe you'll sure learn few things from this story. It goes this way--- A blind man was out on the street to beg for alms as usual. He sat at a passby with a sac with which kind-hearted people could drop what they had inside the sac. One amazing thing about this beggar is that he never fails to get some candies to the children in his neighborhood each time he goes back home.
On this fateful day, as he sat under the apple tree to beg for alms, a man who worked nearby got jealous at the help which the blind beggar receives each day. So immediately, the man got into the nearest bush, trapped a snake, rapped it and went directly towards where the beggar was, dropped the snake in the beggar’s sac and walked away. The blind beggar having felt a weight in the sac got so delighted thinking that someone has dropped a big amount of money or probably foodstuffs in the sac. He then screamed “thank you very much, God bless you for being so kind”.

With great joy, the beggar got home in the evening whistling as always. The children having recognized the whistle ran out to meet him so they could get the candies. The first person to get the bag was a young boy who happened to be the only child of the same man who dropped the snake in the beggar’s sac… while opening the bag, he pushed his hand inside to bring out the candies, immediately, he felt something wrapped in a polythene, opening it, the snake jump out, bite him and crawled into a nearby bush, the children then raised an alarm and neighbors came out. Before they could rush the boy to the nearest clinic, he gave up the ghost. On arriving the scene, the child’s father being the person that dumped the snake in the beggar’s sac broke down and screamed “Oh my God! see what I have done to my only son…”.
