Eve (2020) Flash Fiction
Here's a flash fiction story I wrote sometime during last week. :)
Eve
I see her sitting in the corner of the restaurant. She eats a slice of pie. The waiter comes to my table.
"I'll have what she's having," I tell him.
"The lady in the corner is having apple pie," the waiter says. Just then she looks up over her cup of coffee. She holds my eyes for a couple of seconds before I look away. She smiles, pays for the coffee and the slice of forbidden apple pie, tips the waiter and leaves.
Adam, you poor bastard, I think to myself. She did it again.
