To remember Hitchcock

The thriller king Alfred Hitchcock dies on April 29, 1980, leaving over 50 films behind him, including the classical "Psycho" (1960) and "The Birds" (1963), called the King of suspense, because he first among the masters of the world cinema saw the human weakness of looking at the screen with "wide-eyed" fear. To him the cinema is everything and the actors - "domestic animals"

Hitchcock himself had many fears, complexes, and mania that accompanied him to the end. His genius, however, forgives his "sins" and is quite sure that his name will be written in golden letters in the history of world cinema. Since Hitchcock himself has given so much to the cinema, it was interesting years ago to see "himself" on the screen, but the film with Anthony Hopkins in the lead role turned out to be unsuccessful. The big actor did not come close to our idea of the real Hitchcock.

Many movie critics did not take up the overall scenario the film had made and even ironically remarked that it was not a movie about Hitchcock but about his wife Alma. She undoubtedly played a major role in Hitchcock's comfort in the family environment and facilitated his creative work. The almost platonic 54-year-old marriage relationship between them is not frightened by Hitchcock's enthusiasm for the beautiful actresses she's filmed in her films.

It is known that he looked at them with an almost sadistic satisfaction with the harassment that he was constantly practicing. Many of his perverse "attention," as a "doll in a coffin" gift, and courting his favorite actresses, or the "dirty numbers" he made during photos, were commented. Hitchcock is a truly unique personality that can not be put into a "mold" and considered in itself outside the context of his work. His honesty, even when it sounds cynical, is disarming. No one before him allowed himself to call his actors "pets" in a straight line.

In his mouth, similar expressions sound almost "innocent" because they are presented "in Hitchcock". Shortly before the death of the director, a picture of him with a crow is sitting on his shoulder as a symbol of something demonic and sinister. The impact of this photography is in full harmony with his films. And a man is inadvertently asked how such a complex personality has been formed as it is? The parents of the little Alfred were pious to fanaticism. As they say, "Catholics to the Brain of Bone". Alfred seems to be a "counter" to the falsity of every extreme moralism.

According to his biographers, his resistance to religious falsity is the basis of his later personalities. They say that a role played in a case in which he was locked in a police cell at his father's will to find out that "this is happening to naughty children." "Alfred spent only 10 minutes in the carter, but in the next 75 years of his life he did nothing but cause others to be afraid!" Wrote one critic.
The Jesuit college, where his parents recorded it, was the same "naughty child". The corporal punishment they imposed on him only increased the aggression in him to "return" to everything he had done to him.
According to one version, in answer to the question why instead of becoming a preacher, Hitchcock decides to make blood-chilling films, a story is told: how he met a dancer who was married and when they both became close and Hitchcock, he did not even know who he was doing, he was arrested. Why? "The lady started to complain to the police that her husband was beating her and once Alfred had been to her, instead of his wife, they had arrested him.

The misunderstanding soon became clearer, but Hitchcock had learned from that moment that trust was a dangerous thing, and the troubles were lurking all over. To such an extent, his personality became obsessed that his mind constantly imagined all sorts of dangers that "could happen to him". He had come to the point where he saw nothing but life-threatening events.

While working as an advertising agent in an electric cable company, he invented "advertising" how high voltage kills people? His boss, of course, could not afford such a "pair," so he dismissed Hitchcock's suggestions, but he did a favor - he sent him to sell his ideas in the cinema. That's how Hitchcock's latest film career began. And did you know he was offering him a movie about Titanic? And regrettably he did not make this proposal, because it is very curious how would Ship's sinking appear to Hitchcock's ideas about this tragic event? "In 1938, Hitchcock was already in America. In Hollywood they quickly understand that "the Englishman has ideas," but after his film "Psycho", his opinion about it is not unambiguous. Some adore his talent to make the audience stand out, while others blame him for sadism. At the premiere of the hitchcock movies, the audience shrieked in horror, and a woman even threatened him with a court because "for her sake" her daughter began to fear getting into the bathroom alone.

Hitchcock accepted such reactions with a satirical smile as a sign of satisfaction with the outcome of his efforts, and rubbed his hands that he managed to "scare" an increasing number of people. He has not changed this attitude towards viewers for the rest of his life. As well as his scornful attitude towards the actors. In the last four years of his life he stopped working and poured alcohol. He died shortly after the Queen of England produced him a rank knight, although the "knight" in him was in complete contradiction with our understanding of humanity. Ultimately, we have to admit, however, that the geniuses like him have been forgiven for being "themselves".

No one could call him boring author

wonderful post and narrative. Thank you for sharing!

Hitchcock was truly a master. Watching his films, even today, is always a great experience.

Excellent content, regards friend. @godflesh

I often feel like him sometimes. Hard to trust the world at times, easier just to be a little creep and gain merriment from that.

Yes, I think that is normal human react to the hypocrisy of the world :)
