Qur'an and the Ancient Aceh Manuscripts Exhibited

The Aceh history exhibition was held at the Aceh History Expo held at the Aceh Museum. Inside the three-story building, there were a number of booths displaying paintings of historical objects. There, there were also guides who were ready to explain in detail about their booth.

In the Aceh history exhibition, the "Darud Dunia Palace" painting was painted for 14 years. The painting, which was only ready for about 90 percent, was exhibited at the "Sayed Art" stand. His paintings showcasing the Aceh palace during Sultan Iskandar Muda's time in office complete with palace buildings and troops who became guards.

In addition to paintings, objects such as tombstones, fragments of ceramics in the past and others were also exhibited. History enthusiasts, can look directly and study the history of the Land of Rencong in the past.

At this historical exhibition, there are also ancient manuscripts on display. One of them is the "Rumoh Aceh Manuscript" belonging to the collector of the ancient manuscript Tarmizi A Hamid. He exhibited 22 manuscripts with various themes.

Among them, there is the oldest Qur'an that is hundreds of years old, the earthquake book and others. According to Tarmizi, he also exhibited four manuscripts which were the biggest works, namely the manuscripts "Bustanul Sakatin", "Siratal Almustaqim", and "Miratul Tulab".

"We also showcase other manuscripts about earthquakes, beauty, matchmaking and more. We showcase these 22 manuscripts from hundreds of collections," said Tarmizi.

"In my own collection, I will dismantle this. What we are showing is transporting the true dignity of the Acehnese people and the identity of the Acehnese. We open it all," explained Tarmizi.

In the exhibition, Tarmizi will also introduce the ink and paper used to write manuscripts. This Aceh history exhibition was opened from morning until 17.00 WIB in the afternoon.

"We will give information to visitors, how about the paper, the ink," said the man who is familiarly called Cek Midi.
