Letter To My Younger Self

Dear small, cute and innocent creature,

There are so many things awaiting you in this life. So many events, pleasures, disappointments and news you can’t even imagine now.

But it’s ok, the time will come and step by step, slowly you will reach the point where I am.

Maybe if you read this in advance, you will end up in a better place and better position, maybe reading about what to expect, you will choose another path and reach another point. Who knows…

First of all you need to know that in this life, there is always a choice. You are the one who decides who you want to be, where you want to go and how you want to live.

There will always be people who will try to dictate, to put pressure and to persuade that no matter how you try there are things which cannot be overcome and/or changed. Those people are the ones, who chose the easy path and followed the crowd. That can be your choice too, but knowing who you will become I tell you for sure that’s absolutely wrong for you. But then again, it’s only up to you to decide.

Knowing the above you should not forget that whatever you choose will affect your life and you will be the one paying for your decision and not someone else.

But if your choice is in line with your heart and soul, the future will pay you back!

You will make your own mistakes with the time. They will make you stronger and you will never regret what you did. In fact, regrets are only time-consuming distractions, which have no value at all. Ignoring them will make them weaker and hopeless.

You will make many crazy things in life. Things you will remember with pleasure, but will not do again because that period will be over. The time will come and you will realize that you are no longer disappointed in people because you do not expect much from them.

You will appreciate the good ones and avoid the bad ones, but will not lose faith in the pure, nice and white. That belief will stay with you and won’t be lost with the time, believe me.

But all that will be when you grow up. Meanwhile enjoy your happy, careless and nice childhood, because it will not come back anymore.

If I don’t write this now, you will know how precious it was only after it is gone. So know this in advance and enjoy every second of it. Enjoy your mother’s smile, father’s games, and warm look in your sister’s eyes…..

All that will be remembered and longed for in the future, where I will be waiting for you with open arms.
