We use a wide range of perfumes to hide the bad smells of our own body. For this purpose, lots of different perfumes are made from the fragrances of a wide variety of flowers in nature. Orchid is one of them. It is also a very beautiful looking plant.

These and many other plants have to wait for butterflies, flies, and bees for landing on themselves to make those insects to carry out their pollination. Otherwise, they cannot send their offspring to their partner. Orchid plants have been able to grow in this way for millions of years. There is a species in the orchids, which provides irresistible beautiful and sexy smells for the bees. This one is called Ophrys Apifera, also known as "bee orchid".

This flower has developed an ingenious, evolutionary strategy to draw upon the bees. To make them look attractive, they sprout their flowers looking like female bees. Thus, they can trick the male bees who want to mate. How could Ophrys Apifera plants develop their ability to look like female bees without having any eyesight or any sense of touch? What kind of chemical or biologic process can make this?
