Kids are precious to us parents. Isn't it? When we saw them very happy, our heart also jump for joy. But in the contrary, once we saw them sad or worst suffering sickness, we don't know what to feel. And we also felt that we are not on our mind anymore and we can't think properly. Have you felt it?

April 2, that was saturday afternoon after I wash the clothes, it has been our practice to let my baby have a nap. But when I hug, I felt like she is having a fever. So, I wipe her body with warm water them put the towel on her forehead while she was asleep. When she woke up, she was anymore hot and is now playing with her cousins.

Unfortunately, when we checked her temperature around 8pm, it goes up again and reached 39.2. So we let her drink more water and continue wiping her body with warm water.

The next day, I woke up early and cook her "lugaw". Lugaw is a bisaya term of porridge. I also put some tabliya and a little sugar and made a "champorado". Champorado is a chocolate porridge and is very common here in Philippines whenever someone is seek because it is sweet. We also cook this during rainy season and paired it with dried fish.

I still didn't bring her to the doctor because I am still observing her. And in the afternoon, I brought her to my auntie who was known to be a "hilot expert". She massage my baby and tried to figure out what's wrong with her.

On the third day, that was monday monday, my baby woke up early and was now playing with her cousins already. And so, I leave her and I went to work. When I was working, at 4pm my husband called me up and told me that my baby's fever went high again. Without second thought, I packed up my things and told my husband to prepare the necessary things because I will be bringing my baby to the hospital.

When we are already there, my baby's fever went really high and reached 39.5 (by the way the normal temoerature 37.8 degree Celcius).

So the nurse decided to took a CBC and urine test to my baby to check what made her fever so high since she don't have cough.

When the nurse started to get a blood sample to check if there was an infection on her blood, I felt like my heart is squeezing. I felt so sad seeing my baby crying and I cant help watching her felt the pain that's why I just let my hubby hold her.

We reach in the hospital around 5pm, and around 7pm we were done with her cbc. The struggle begun when we let her pee for her urine test. She was really having hard time to pee because before the test she poo and it is so hard for to pee because all the water went out already. So, we let her drink more fluids. Until 10pm came and we were already sleepy. So, me and my hubby just ask the nurse if its alright that we will just let the doctor read the cbc result and we will just come back the next day for her urine since my baby wanted to go home and sleep. So, the doctor just read the result but them when she saw that my baby's platelet went down, she didn't allow us to go home and told us to had the urine test as soon as possible so he could give medicine to my baby before we will go home.

And at last after exactly 12midnight, my baby pee a little. And the result stated that the cause of my baby's fever was the UTI.

So, the doctor let us buy these medicine and let my baby take it for 1 week. And she also told us to be back the next day for 2nd cbc to check whether the platelet goes up already.

On tuesday, I didn't go to work because I had to see to it that my baby is drinking her medicine on time and do all the things just to make my baby safe from dengue. Then, in the afternoon we went back to the hospital again and had her cbc once more. She really cried a lot and got mad to us. And I am so grateful to Him since my baby's platelet went up already.

And now, I am so thankful because my baby is slowly recovering. And I can see a little smile on her face already. Yet, she is still taking her medication for her uti but I do believe that she is now 100% healed.
