SteemUSA - Monday Photography Challenge - A Frozen Sunday

It was cold this weekend. How cold you could look at my Saturday and Sunday post, or I could just say it here. It was in the single digits both above (saturday), and below (sunday). 4F for Saturday, -6F for Sunday. So a cold first weekend of the year. Still in was a nice weekend. So here are two shots from My Sunday.
So since there is no topic for the week I thought I would pick "Your First Weekend of 2019". I know it should only be one picture, but it was a frozen spectacular day. Our first photo stop of the day, to see if and how many eagles were roosting on this cold cold day. There were a lot.
The day came to a pretty spectacular end with the sun setting behind a fog bank in the Cook Inlet. If you look close you can see how cold it was from the steam rising off of the Kenai River. We, like many people in the northern hemisphere this weekend had a very cold first weekend. It is so cool to actually see steam being created by water that is barely above freezing, but that is how cold the air was yesterday.

Howdy there bashadow! wow those are both awesome photos! Anything below zero is getting too cold for me, actually anything in the teens F is too cold for me!
It ended up being a good day sunday, even at minus 6 F.
haha! yes sir, spoken like a true Eskimo! I'll take your word for it. Ya'll are a tough breed up there!
But it is a dry cold. LoL. I always liked hearing but it is a dry heat when people would talk about the 100's F. It was cold but it was a dry cold.
haha! well when it gets that cold can you tell a difference? A wet cold is supposed to freeze you faster? lol.
