"Just thinking aloud" .. A time could come when humans won't need antibiotics (even for prophylaxis). We would grow our own immunity naturally.
I read a publication lately that states that: humans will evolve to be immune to a whole lot of microorganisms.
Maybe these evolution could be fast-tracked by genetic transmutations. Well, future will tell.

Will we though? What is the selective pressure? There are so many varieties and not everyone comes in contact with similar ones. I guess over long periods of time we could.
