I got into reading about algorithms (for Dummies) after I bumped into a study describing its uses to predict suicide attempts. The accuracy (in trials) is incredibly high, 80%. So, I felt compelled to read more about this "algori-things" 😃
I guess we partially owe this great write-up to @scienceagenl too, right!? :)
I didn't know about this research, it's very interesting! If you have more time, you can maybe dig a little bit deeper on the internet about something called "data science" and "machine learning". Basically, all of us daily left behind tons of data which can be later used to make predictive systems which can analyze subject's behavior and certainly predict its future moves, and we see that it found nice use in psychology, like in this case :)
Of course that we owe to @scienceangel, she's the real driving force :D
This is one of the coolest article I've read this week. Ur style of explaining complex things in simple way is awesome, bro. I'm sure u will be on distilled next week! ;)
