The Top 50 Accounts Transferring Money to and from Exchanges
Last week I posted the first of what will probably be a regular weekly series showing the SBD and STEEM transfers in USD terms to and from known exchange accounts. I cleaned up the code quite a bit today, so I can now run this for any date range. If you'd like to see something other than a weekly report, let me know in the comments. If you have some thoughts on what these numbers mean, please see the first report for some of my commentary and thoughts as well. Note: the USD amounts shown here are based on the rates as of today when this report was run, not an average over the past week.

Commentary
Unlike last week, the Steemit account didn't transfer anything to an exchange account, from what I could tell.
I found it interesting to see @dantheman on the top of the deposit list. Seems he'd rather keep some SBD earning 10% than keep it in bitcoin on an exchange. It also got me thinking that just because I see a transfer coming from an exchange to an account, it doesn't mean that account is powering up the money.
Nice to see @dollarvigilante on the deposit list. I guess he really is here for the long-term since he not only powered up his huge payouts, it seems he put some more money in as well.
The ratio of withdraws to deposits dropped slightly from last week's 3.42/1 ratio to 3.09/1. That surprised me, as I expected to see the ratio much higher with the drop in price we've had this week.
The dollar amount transferred to exchanges doubled from $76,971.82 last week to $153,795.45 this week.
Do you have any thoughts about the data?
Do you know of any other exchange accounts I should include?

Great report, everything is concise in one post which makes evaluating the exchange transfers easier to understand.
I think in some ways it is good because it means lower prices of Steem which allow people to power up for less money - due to the greater liquidity. Thanks for providing this info.
Interesting statistics this week. With the influx of new users and the drop in price, I would've thought that deposits would have increased more. It's good to see @dantheman and @dollarvigilante on the top deposits list. Regardless of what one may think of them, they're putting their money where their mouths are, so good on them.
It's also interesting to see certain people cashing out. Don't care to get into the specific names, but it's just something that's a bit curious to me.

I'm thinking it might be useful to separate out the SBD/STEEM amounts instead of lumping them together like I'm doing now. @dantheman's deposit, as an example, is just in SBD, from what I can tell. It's still liquid and not powered up. So there's a big difference to the economics if the money is powered up of if it's just sitting as STEEM (which would be silly) or SBD. But yes, keeping that money in SBD instead of BTC, does show confidence along with, well, the many, many years or work leading up to building this thing in the first place. :)
Yeah, you could separate them, but I tend to think as you do - if they're holding the money in SBD, then they don't seem to be too concerned about potential losses. Or, from another perspective, they could be keeping it liquid with the confidence that they can make gains against BTC.
Speculation isn't necessarily a good thing, but it's the confidence of the trade that interests me, if that's what it actually is.
Good also to see @smooth continuing to load up other whale accounts to spread his voting power far and wide.

Some graphical information would be nice to see the longterm movement faster and better.
That's a great suggestion, @apes. How do you recommend organizing it? Do you mean tracking just the overall totals or just the transfers amounts of the the exchanges themselves on a daily basis (so 1 data point per each per day) instead of trying to graph individual accounts? I guess I could do that too, but some accounts show up one report without being on another report.

This net withdrawal of 150k explains a bit why the price has been tanking.
I assume very few will just trade steem due to its inflation rate.
That was my thought as well. It's going to be interesting to see what the market can bare over time. I'm also realizing how nice of a "holding" place SBD is and/or converting SBD to STEEM through the 7 day process (initiating that 7 day smart contract) and then potentially selling on the market back to SBD to start the process again.

Does this mean people have deposited from polo to steem or the other way around? This is a bit confusing....
That means the net transfer amount TO poloniex is 305,633 STEEM. Example:
PersonA transfers 10 STEEM to poloniex.
poloniex transfers 5 STEEM to PersonB.
PersonC transfers 10 STEEM to poloniex.
In this scenario, the totals would be:
poloniex STEEM transfer total: 15.000
