Friday evening is upon us! You know what that means? It means once you probably don't have to walk into the depressing place you call work for another two days. It also means that Ice Cube's Big Three Leauge is gearing up for action once again! Week 5 is taking place at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida at 7:00 PM EST. You can catch the games if you have Fox Sports One in your cable package.
The Big Three league was founded in 2017 by Ice Cube and entertainment industry executive Jeff Kwatinetz. It features games of 3-on-3 between retired NBA stars and role players, with slightly altered rules compared to the NBA. You play in a half-court setting, and to win a game you have to score 50 and be ahead by at least 2 over your opponent. There are also other minor adjustments and additions such as a 4-point shot, a 14-second shot clock, and no fouling out. The league is in an interesting place in a way, because it's a platform to test out new rules that people have proposed over the years.

Week 5's schedule has some seemingly so-so matchups in Games 1 & 2, while Games 3 & 4 and look like they're going to be two heaters between polished squads. Game 1 will be between #2 Tri-State and #8 Ghost Ballers. Game 2 will feature #7 Killer Threes and #6 Ball Hogs. The third game will be #3 Power versus #5 Trilogy, and the final contest will be between #1 and still undefeated 3-Headed Monsters against #4 3's Company.
Tri-State is coming off a heart-breaking loss to 3-Headed Monsters last week, so look for them to get ahead early on the bottom-ranked Ghost Ballers. Tri-State gets strong big man play from Jermaine O'Neal and Amare Stoudemire and excellent guard work from Nate Robinson/David Hawkins. They should win handily over Ghost Ballers, but it's up to Mike Bibby, Carlos Boozer, and Ricky Davis to compete all-out to get their first win of the year. Ghost Ballers always play tough, but they just haven't nabbed a win yet.

The Killer Threes are coming off a beginning-of-the-game suspension from Metta World Peace in their previous weeks game. Their squad fell apart last week against Trilogy after Metta kicked a ball into the stands in frustration, so now is an opportunity to right the ship against another lower-seeded squad in Ball Hogs. Brian Scalabrine, Josh Childress, and Deshawn Stevenson will be gunning for their second win of the season for Ball Hogs while Killer Threes do the same. You'll get to see Chauncey Billups, Stephen Jackson, Josh Powell, and Metta World Peace suit up for the Killer Threes, who are aiming to push their record to 2-3.
Game three will be a close battle between two middling squads in Power and Trilogy. Power were pushed around by Ghost Ballers for a bit, but they emerged victorious by five. Look for Cory Magette of Power to score big and put the team on his back, he just needs to get all his teammates involved to maximize their chances of winning. He'll be going head-to-head against last year's Big Three Defensive Player Of The Year James White of Trilogy. That matchup should be an engaging one that largely decides the fate of the game.

For the final game of the night, 3-Headed Monsters are going to look to keep their record perfect against a solid squad in 3's Company. 3's boast a potent lineup of Demarr Johnson, Baron Davis, Drew Gooden, and Andre Emmet. I'm personally excited for the Baron Davis and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf matchup at point guard. Abdul-Rauf walks in at the ripe age of 49, but he's absolutely taking it to these younger guys. He was responsible for the game-winning buckets (one shot, one assist) in his last two games. Will we see more clutch action from him in Week 5? Tune in on Fox Sports One to watch!

your post is beautiful.please support me.

Ice-Cube had a great idea and the success of this 3-on-3 tournament is the demostration. A lot of champions try to win on the field but I have whatched some games and I understand that young players are still better than old champions: there are some exception, for examble, Mohammed Abdul-Rauf is a champion and a great players even if he is not young.
James White and David Hawkins are dominating a league against other players who were great champions in the past, but they are old now.
Tell me what you think.
Good job, man!
