The Rockies and Cubs finish up their weekend series

The Colorado Rockies finish up their weekend series this afternoon with the Chicago Cubs. The first pitch is at 2:10pm and the game can be seen on Comcast Sports Chicago. It will take place at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. The Cubs are small favorites at -116 and the over/under is 10.5 runs. The two teams have split the series 1-1 thus far.

The Rockies are coming off of a nice 5-2 win last night. They held the Cubs line up in check after surrendering 16 runs the night before. Today, they will send German Marquez to the mound to try and get the series win. He is 1-1 so far on the season with an ERA of 4.34. The Rockies hitters are chomping at the bit to get after the Cubs starter, Jose Quintana, who is struggling badly so far this season. Charlie Blackmon might be putting a couple balls out in the outfield bleachers.

The Cubs are switching up their line up a bit today in hopes of getting some more offense on the field. Addison Russell and Wilson Contreras will start the game on the bench as Tommy LaStella and Victor Caratini will get the starts. With Quintana on the mound for the Cubs, head coach Joe Maddon knows he will need a big day from his bats. I think Schwarber, Bryant, and Rizzo could all have big days.

I think that both teams will be hitting the ball well today and I expect a high scoring game.
