The Angels host the Red Sox in American League action

The Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Angels face off tonight in MLB action. First pitch is set for 9:07pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on Fox Sports West. It will take place at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. The Red Sox are small favorites at -105 and the over/under is 8 runs.

The visiting Red Sox are off to a hot start to the season. They have been playing great baseball and starting pitcher Rick Porcello has been dynamite. Porcello has started 3 games and has an ERA of 1.83. His WHIP is one of the best in the MLB at .76 and he has looked unhittable so far. Offensively, Mookie Betts is off to a career year. He is batting .389 and also had his home run total at 5!. Betts in en fuego!. Hanley Ramirez is too off to a hot start and the Boston Red Sox are looking like legit World Series contenders in this young season.

The Los Angeles Angels might be the best team in the MLB so far this year. Japanese star Ohtani has gotten a bulk of the coverage so far, and justifiably so. But starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs is leading the team in wins and ERA so far. He has pitched lights out and has the Angels faithful excited about the season. Superstar Mike Trout already has ripped 6 home runs and the Angles have one of the best offenses in the league.

Tonight’s game feature the top two batting averages in all of baseball. Although there are two great pitchers on the mound, there could be a lot of fireworks with the great bats on both teams.
