Sweet 16 Preview: Gonzaga vs Florida State

The #4 Gonzaga Bulldogs and the #9 Florida State Seminoles match-up tonight in the second weekend of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The game tips off at 8:59pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on TBS. It will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Gonzaga is favored by 6 points and the over/under is 153.5 points.

Gonzaga is coming off of a good win against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday 90-84. Zach Norvell Jr. was on fire from deep and hit six 3’s. He would finish with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Head coach Mark Few felt great about the team’s effort and isn’t taking the Seminoles lightly.

Florida State pulled the big upset on Sunday when the downed the #1 seed Xavier Musketeers 75-70. They are an extremely dangerous team and are playing fantastic basketball. Brian Angola led the team in scoring with 15 points and had plenty of help from his bench. The Seminoles got 46 bench points compared to Xavier’s 24. That was the difference in the game.
Both of these teams love to shoot the 3 ball. I expect a high volume of shots from beyond the arc and whoever can catch fire, will be moving on to the Elite 8 on Saturday.
It's going to be an exciting game. I wonder how many 3 points shots will be made in this game. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm thinking 50 are shot between the 2 teams. We will have to wait to see how many go in!
