Jimmy Butler still hoping for a trade

Jimmy Butler of the Minnesota Timberwolves has finally demanded a trade after publicly expressing his disappointment. This was according to Shams Charania of Yahoo sports. Coach Tim Thibodeau and Jimmy Butler discussed this matter recently but Butler still end up demanding a trade.
It wasn’t a surprise because of the forming feud between Butler and Minnesota’s young players Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. Butler was not happy for their lack of character and competitiveness which was seen clearly last playoffs. Towns and Wiggins has been quiet in crucial games and hasn’t been able to provide good numbers that would help Minnesota win in the post season.
It will hurt Minnesota a lot after Butler declined the contract extension and then demanding a trade. Minnesota will now have to find a nice player in return if they trade Jimmy Butler. Remember that Minnesota acquired Butler in a trade with the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls received Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and a draft pick that turns out to be Lauri Markkanen. These players are having a great stride with the Bulls and Minnesota might be a kind of regretting the trade.
Butler seemed to have a list of the teams he has on mind and those teams are the Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets or the Miami Heat. Teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and the Toronto Raptors are also in the conversation.
For the meantime, we will just have to wait and see where Butler will land.
