DeRozan scored 29 points in their OT win against the Dallas Mavericks including a game winning basket and it gave the Toronto Raptors their 11th straight win on Friday night. They tied their longest winning streak in franchise history. The first seed in the Eastern Conference won 18 of their last 19 games. Jonas Valanciunas had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Delon Wright and Fred VanFleet each had 14 points that helped Toronto improved to an NBA-best 29-5 at their home court. Serge Ibaka had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Pascal Siakam recorded 12 points and 3 rebounds. PG Kyle Lowry did not play, but rather rested, to avoid playing in back-to-back games.

Harrison Barnes scored 27 points for the Dallas Mavericks and Dennis Smith Jr. added 19 points and 4 assists. J.J. Barea had 18 points and 6 assists. Yogi Ferrel had 12 points and Nerlens Noel finished the game with 6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. Dallas had the lead in the beginning of the fourth quarter 84-78 and Harrison Barnes’ jump shot extended the lead making it 101-93 with less than six minutes remaining. But DeRozan’s four points cut the lead to four with four and a half minutes left. Then, DeRozan’s free throws and jumper tied the game at 106. In the last minute, DeRozan let the clock wind down then drove to the basket, passing it to Serge Ibaka, for a possible game winning shot; but Ibaka missed the shot and sent the game to overtime.

In overtime, Dallas had an early lead with two baskets from Dennis Smith Jr. and then Toronto came back. Van Fleet hit a three for the lead but Powell came back with his own three to tie it. Then DeRozan drove to the basket to take the lead back for Toronto with 53 seconds remaining. Valanciunas’ free throws sealed the game and took hold of Dallas. The Dallas Maverick’s next game will be at Brooklyn and the Raptors will take on Oklahoma City Thunder at home on Sunday afternoon.
