Cavaliers Dominated Game 3, Cut Series Deficit to 1-2

LeBron James posted 27 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a 116-86 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference finals match on Saturday night. James showcased his long range shooting knocking down a perfect 3 for 3 from the three-point line. The Cavaliers had bounced back after being outplayed in their two road games against the Celtics. All five Cleveland starters scored in double figures. Kevin Love finished the game with 13 points with 14 boards, 4 assists and 1 steal. Kyle Korver shot perfectly from beyond the arc scoring 14 points in 4 for 4 shooting from three-point territory. George Hill added 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal while Jordan Clarkson finished with 9 points, all from long range. Larry Nance Jr. played quality minutes setting screens and scored 8 points with 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Tristan Thompson recorded 10 points and 7 boards while JR Smith had 11 points and 5 rebounds including 3 triples. Cleveland looked like a different team in Game 3 as they built a 19 point lead in the first quarter and extended it to 30 points in the second half. Cleveland made a total of 17 three-pointers as the Boston Celtics fell to 1-5 on the road in the playoffs.

The Boston Celtics didn’t have an answer for LeBron and the Cavs. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics finishing the game with 18 points. Terry Rozier added 13 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal while Jaylen Brown had 10 points, 2 rebounds and 1 block. Al Horford finished with only 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Marcus Morris did not contribute very well posting only 9 points and 5 boards. Marcus Smart did not make an impact, like he did in the first two games. He only had 7 points, 6 assists and 2 steals. Aaron Baynes finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks. Greg Monroe scored 10 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. Game 4 is on Monday night in Cleveland.
