The Golden State Warriors has been the team to beat for the last four years and arguably, they are the best team in NBA history. The Warriors have become the best destination for role players and veterans who want to secure a championship ring on their finger. Joining the Warriors gave veterans a chance to win a championship before their careers comes to an end. The Warriors depth has been one of the reasons why the team is hard to beat as the role players and veterans thrives in Coach Steve Kerr’s system. Kerr makes the most out of these players that’s why they were the toughest team to beat. But this summer, David West, Zaza Pachulia and JaVale McGee are set to become free agents and we’re going to take a look at the top big men who can replace them and are the next in line.

Joakim Noah

Joakim Noah was part of the 2009 Chicago Bulls team who almost beat the Boston Celtics’ big three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen in the 2009 postseason. They force the series to a game 7 and Noah is one of the main reasons why the Bulls get that far against the Celtics. Noah is a former Defensive Player of the Year and a triple-double machine player by that time. He is the heart of the team and a terrific hustler who can sacrifice his body on the floor night in and night out. But the Chicago Bulls mistreated him and sent him to the New York Knicks but the Knicks also ruined his career and he is now a forgotten man. Noah is now 33 years old but I believe that he still has it. If he agrees to a contract buyout with New York and the dubs sign him, it will be a great opportunity for him to revive his career and prove that he was once a top big man in the League. He’s a terrific rebounder and passer and will surely fit with Steve Kerr’s system. He can make a lot of opportunities to the shooters and can provide the much needed energy especially in the playoffs.

Nerlens Noel

The Dallas Mavericks were so disappointed in Nerlens Noel. They badly needed a big man so they signed Noel but he didn't seem to prove himself and finished the season full of disappointment. Noel wants a huge contract but he doesn’t seem to deserve one, so he may now choose between getting paid and proving his worth. He can play with the Golden State Warriors to prove himself and help the Warriors for another championship run. Noel can run the floor very well and he was very athletic. He can be a great pick and roll player and catch lobs from Steph Curry or Draymond Green. He’s also a great rim protector and has great defensive awareness. Noel and Green’s defensive duo would be deadly and Curry, Durant and Thompson can take care of business in offense. If Noel joins the Warriors, this could be the toughest team to beat and maybe impossible to beat in a seven game series.

Brook Lopez

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Brook Lopez in a trade with the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for DeAngelo Russell. He is a scoring big man with a sweet shooting touch from mid-range and from long range. Now that he’s free to walk away from the Lakers, he would be a nice offensive fit for the Golden State Warriors and he would love to join a true contender and will have a chance to earn his first championship ring. Even though he’s not a defensive minded player and never has been much of a physical presence from the inside, he still can provide offensive fire power for the dubs and can stretch the floor much.
