We are back with another edition of NBA Fantasy Tonight! It is opening night and I couldn't be more pumped up for the start of the 2019-2020 season. There are so many great story lines and there was some massive player movement over the summer. The Western Conference is as loaded as ever and Lebron James FINALLY got his wing man after a year of begging for help.
There are two games tonight to kickoff the season. The first game of the night features the NBA Champion Toronto Raptors and the up and coming New Orleans Pelicans. But the Raptors lost Kawhi Leonard to the Los Angeles Clippers in the off season and the Pelicans lost their #1 pick, Zion Williamson, to a knee injury.
The second game of the night features the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. Both teams are loaded with new talent and the city of L.A. has two of the favorites to win the NBA Championship this year.
Let's get started with the point guard position.

Lonzo Ball PG, New Orleans Pelicans
After two years in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform, Lonzo Ball was a key player in the trade for Anthony Davis. Ball was a high draft pick out of U.C.L.A. and is yet to live up to his potential. Ball is statistically the worst shooter in the NBA over the last two years. He has a very busted jump shot and can't make a free throw to save his life. But I think all of that is about to change after a great off season of work.
Lonzo was banged up in his rookie and sophomore seasons but has put on some muscle and is determined to prove the haters wrong. Unfortunately, we won't get to see him throwing alley-oops to Zion Williamson tonight, but we will get to see him push the pace and make some plays in the open court. I like him to take it hard to the rim and put up a triple-double.
Dwight Howard C, Los Angeles Lakers
The big man is back in a purple and gold uniform for his second stint with the Lakers. Dwight Howard was once the most feared center in the NBA, but has had a terrible stretch as he has bounced around the league. But I think he is ready to have a monster season and will be a key role for the Lakers second unit. If Davis or Mcgee get in foul trouble or injured, Howard will step right in to the starting line-up.
I think Howard will get plenty of minutes tonight and have a double-double for the Lakers against a much smaller Clippers team.

K Lowry SG, Toronto Raptors
It was a fairy tale season for the NBA Champion Toronto Raptors. They shocked the world with their title run and did so in exciting fashion. But the MVP of the NBA Finals, Kawhi Leonard, is long gone and the Raptors will need to rely heavily on Kyle Lowry to run the offense.
There is still a lot of talent on the Raptors team and I think Lowry will return to being their leading scorer. He can get hot from the 3-point line quite frequently as well as push the ball in transition. Lowry might be short, but he can get to the rim with the best of them. I love his match-up tonight against a Pelicans team that wants to run and gun. That will lead to open lanes to the hoop and a big night for Lowry as he tries to prove to his teammates that this is once again his team.
Good luck with your fantasy plays tonight. Thank you for following @steemsports and you can find me @npl77
