Arturo Gatti (nicknamed Thunder) was one of the greatest (if not the greatest) action fighter of all time. His willingness to brawl and exchange punches was like few of his era.. and few that will ever live. His trilogy with Mickey Ward, and even his willingness to fight young lions past his prime show the true warrior spirit he possessed.

Arturo had a killswitch in the ring, and he would try and destroy any opposition in his path. His fight against Joey Gamache at the turn of the millennium almost turned away the majority of Arturo's fanbase as it was a one sided beatdown of a much smaller man whom he outweighed by 18 pounds.

Gatti was considered a weight bully at some points, but later in life, it almost made sense as to how he was so merciless against any opponent.. of any size. He could surely give as much as he could take it.. and because Floyd Mayweather Jr. loves that saying, it makes it all the more ironic.
Gatti had a tragic end to both his boxing career and to his personal life. He was not only a man who had almost accomplished too much too soon in the ring, but he was a man who gave it all each night out and was running on empty (both physically and mentally) as a man in his mid thirties.

The wars with Mickey Ward that practically made him a household name in the early 2000s, and the fight with Floyd in which he sacrificed the latter end of his career to give a future hall of famer a chance at the big show. Gatti had a good heart on the inside, he was just a player in the hurt game.
The delving into drugs and depression only made things worse for Gatti, and with all the recent studies, who isn't to say that all his extracurricular activities weren't due to the brain trauma of the sport he so loved. The style of Aztec Warrior that Gatti was inspired millions...

...but it was also a factor in his untimely, and unfortunate demise. Many things shroud what really happened to Arturo that fateful July day in 2009, but most evidence does show his wife acted alone in taking his life. The warped relationship they had ended both of their lives in a way...
...but many still miss the legend named Thunder. Gatti was an era before mine, but I still loved to watch his wars with Mickey Ward at the beginning of Youtube and the internet. Him and Pacquiao were a few of the guys I always knew to say when someone asked me who my favorite athletes were

Nothing could really match the heart of drive of Arturo Gatti, and his name along rings a bell to every sports fan even if they can't quite put their finger on where they've heard of him. He was a spectacular warrior, and what he lacked in skill he made up for with fervor. He's a legend!

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

His fight against Joey Gamache at the turn of the millenium almost turned away the majority of Arturo's fanbase as it was a one sided beatdown of a much smaller man whom he outweighed by 18 pounds.
It should be millennium instead of millenium.
