#3 Tennessee Will Try to Muscle Their Way Past #11 Loyola

The #3 Tennessee Volunteers and the #11 Loyola Ramblers will face off today in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The game tips off at 5:10pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on TNT. It will take place at the AA Center in Dallas, Texas. Tennessee is favored by 5 points and the over/under is 131.5 points.
Head coach Rick Barnes likes his chances to take another team to the Sweet 16 but he knows not to under estimate the Ramblers. Tennessee is a MUCH more physical team and they will use their size and muscle to try and push around Loyola. They should be able to dominate the boards and Admiral Schofield will be a ton to handle on the blocks. Forward Grant Williams will also be looked up to have a big day to help the Volunteers to advance.
Loyola is coming off of one of the most exciting games of the tournament so far. They hit a last second 3 point shot to beat the Miami Hurricanes 64-62 on Thursday. The biggest challenge for them now is to control their emotions and stay focused as they play the underdog role one more time. Their leading scorer Clayton Custer is going to need shoot the ball at a high percentage today from the 3 point line. He is capable of catching fire and connecting from down town on several attempts and that could keep them in the game.
I don’t expect this to be a very high scoring game as both teams like to play in the half court offense. The game very well be won or lost on the boards and the Volunteers have the edge in that category.
