Alvaro Morata Pictured Back In Chelsea Training

Call me a pessimist but, counter to my personal expectations, Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has been pictured making the paces with his Chelses teammates at the clubs' Cobham base.

Chelsea gaffer, Antonio Conte paid no service to his custom of giving his players a day off after what was a disastrous outing away at Crystal Palace on saturday as the full squad with the exception of the handful of injury absentees pictured making their paces on sunday

Chelsea FC's official twitter handle first made the announcement, probably in an attempt to soothe the nerves that might have been developing about the prospect of Michy Batshuayi continuing to lead the line, following that intrepid performance last time out

Hours later, Morata himself posted a picture of himself training on his instagram account, and unlike prior pictures of himself since the injury, he hasn't deleted them yet.

Morata had been out since just before the transfer window, when he limped out in the 32nd minute of Chelsea's clash with Man City. Leading to widespread fears of a lengthy absence. But Chelsea kept the faith and kept working on the player. And kept faith in their word that the player would be ready for the midweek match with Roma.

It will now be left to see whether it is a smart decision to rush a player back after an injury that is known to re-occur if not well managed
