300 year old silver coin!
This is my Italic coin, dating back to the unification of Italy.
It is a Lira of the III type (the Lira sabauda was the monetary unit of the Kingdom of Sardinia until 1861)
Coined 1747 in the mint of Turin (I was born and I live in Turin - Italy).
Material: Silver 917/1000
Nominal value: 20 “Soldi”
Diameter: 28 mm
Weight: 5.7 g
Coin grading: Extremely Fine

Head of Carlo Emanuele III king of Savoy
Reverse:
“Sabaudo” shield complete and crowned
Non si prendono le monete nel palmo della mano. Si prendono con 2 dita sul bordo. Ogni toccata, che sia minima, li logora.
Si hai ragione, grazie del consiglio, ma sono un collezionista molto amatoriale e poi pensa che questa moneta era liberamente conservata in una busta di stoffa insieme ad altre monete di cui alcune arrugginite e chissà quante volte hanno sbattuto tutte insieme. Quindi prenderle una volta in mano credo che sia stata la cosa meno traumatica che gli sia capitata!
Si, certamente non è una moneta "proof".
Si possono trovare monete rare anche in tasca, basta sapere cosa cercare...
È vero che chi cerca trova, ma ci vuole anche una bella dose di fortuna!
