You know whats better than a 1 oz silver round? A 2 oz silver round. This weeks pick is just that. I started collecting this series when it first came out, for some reason My intrest dropped away from this series. I think its back now..
You are looking at the 2 oz Khnum Silver Round (Egyptian Gods Series #4, New, High Relief)
This is the 4th release in this series and the High relief is something a picture does not do justice for.

Khnum was one of the earliest Egyptian deities referenced in writing and is referred to as the god responsible for the source of the Nile River. The symbolism surrounding Khnum was complex. The Nile River itself floods annually and enrichens the surrounding soil with silt and clay. Ancient Egyptians believed Khnum was responsible for these life-bringing floods.
Ancient Egyptians believed that Khnum was likewise responsible for creating human bodies. It was believed he would use a potters wheel and clay to form young children and place them in their mothers womb. Khnum was represented in human form as a man with the head of a ram, while his Earthly representation was simply that of a powerful ram.
On the obverse of the 2 oz Khnum Silver Round, youll find the human form of Khnum in right-profile relief as he works at his potters wheel to create a human specimen. At the top of the round design, field are hieroglyphs representing his name in Ancient Egyptian the written language.
The reverse side of the 2 oz Khnum Silver Round features the Earthly image of the deity as a ram. The ram rests on an altar with a pyramid in the background and hieroglyphs on the wall behind that. There are engravings on this face of the round denoting the weight, purity, and metal content.
The 2 oz Khnum Silver Rounds are fourth in the popular Egyptian Gods Series. Each round is a 2 oz blank struck in high relief, which requires intense pressure during coining to sink the background field and bring out in greater 3D relief the design set.

A truly great pick for a series. Heidi designed the series. I like her work a lot. And the high relief rounds are struck to perfection. The series is so worth the money, in my opinion!
JM is a reputable source. Just picked up a set from them. Sad it should have been here but my house guest did not answer the door. Now I have to wait until Tuesday.
