# 476 - Moscow Olympic Coins - Final
The Games of the XXII Olympiad were held in Moscow, USSR in 1980.
Led by the United States, 66 countries boycotted the games entirely because of the Soviet–Afghan War. The Soviet Union would later boycott the Summer Olympics that would be held in Los Angeles, USA in 1984.
We will show now several coins that were emitted to commemorate this event.
We will continue with the 5 Ruble coins. They are made of 90% silver and weight 16.67g each.
The first is a 1978 5 Rubles depicting Equestrian show jumping. Its mintage was 110,302 units.
The second is a 1978 5 Rubles depicting High jumping. Its mintage was 110,292 units.
Both obverses show the Coat of Arms of the Soviet Union.
