Do You Like When Steem Moons? Then Moonsteem is for you – (game review)
I hate gambling with my Uncle, he gets to smash things around when he loses. If I kept winning, I knew it will only take sometime before he smashed my head next.
People win and loose bets everyday, gambling makes the world go round. A lot of time, bets are based on speculation while most others are apparently just based on guts. Gambling systems have been in existence almost since the beginning of time, it is the wagering of money or something of value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome, with the primary intent of winning money or a valuable good.
The face of gambling has since then gradually metamorphosed with time, a lot of gambling systems have been developed and are evidently available mostly in the sports and gaming industry. These days, there are automated casino systems, sport betting sites managed by computer programs to eliminate fraudulent activities with increased security protocol, especially with the advent and inclusion of revolutional technology of the Blockchain, which provides immutability, transparency and total elimination of an intermediary in control of the system.
Today there are millions of betting systems around the world, both automated and not, and they can have anyone with a mobile device and internet connection participate.
However, one of the gambling systems making waves in the most recent time, is called the Steem Moon, built on the Steem blockchain, completely decentralised, fully automated, provably fair and extremely easy to play with very simple interface, the game play in Moon steem is just as it sounds, steem to the moon.
Like every other game I find myself playing, my first times are always disastrous in a way, I either mess things up by wasting resources and time or I turn the entire settings upside down all in attempt to figure things out myself. My first try at Moon steem was not very noteworthy, all I saw was a moving graph in the center of the screen, while a section on the left showed an open chat from a couple of users, and the other right side showed the profits and losses being made by users in real time. Those rates of profits and losses caught my attention and sparked my curiosity from a different dimension and I knew I had to figure out what was going on.
Not everyone is made for gambling, but I believe that at some point in life everyone has to wager something for something, we bet on our intuition don't we? I've never been an all out gambler, Moon steem served as my first real experience into the world of gambling, and I don't think I'm turning back anytime soon. Due to it's ease of play and it's exclusive relatively similar lifestyle of the steem cryptocurrency, or what a lot of steemians dream of, mooning.
Now, lets talk about the game play, to play, just visit www.moonsteem.com, log in, there's a graph that displays the mooning of steem, with each height the thread gets in the graph, there's a doubling reward depending on how much the user began with, now this mooning can end at anytime, the catch is to join the multitude of players hoping to double their stake when the mooning goes high enough, and end the bet when their intuition says so, otherwise, the system stops the graph before the user does and ends up loosing the bet. It's that simple, all you need is guess right, be witty and cashout. The game is open round the clock so a user can at have a go at anytime.
According to the State of the DAPPS ranking Moonsteem is ranked #303 amongst other dapps on the steem blockchain, the game took off in February and still has a lot of growth rate and potential.
I'm aware that a lot of people are reluctant in trying out systems involving paying to play, but Moon Steem can be played for free, there's a mechanism that converts your upvotes on their posts on the steem blockchain to the points called steemies which is being used in-game. Lastly the game has a faucet system where you can invest your steemies and get returns. What's not to try about this?
