RE: Steemocracy : A Steem Comic | Volume 11 | "Jeff Berwick Interviews Dan & Ned"

It's working just fine. It's just that all those votes are from people with very little steem power. Also, we can now adjust the weight of our votes so even if someone has a lot of steem power, they can still cast votes that only boost a post by a small amount.

yeah, that's what I think most of the time, but when I see a series like this ... I think ... well, maybe there is a problem

I'm really surprised he doesn't get more than this ... it's really funny, well done, he got a whole series of them already etc ...

yes,I know, it's still early, it needs time to spread etc.

BUT ... here's the but ... right now there are all kinds of skewed results and it can be annoying, as it makes it harder to find good posts ... the posts on top belong there, no problem, but there are hardly any in the middle, so you end up at the bottom of the steemit ocean digging for good posts and why? for 2 reasons; 1) I can't find them in the middle where they should be AND 2) because there are a lot of good posts to be found on the bottom ...

it's not just the amount of $$ this author gets or not, but the way posts are sorted; it can be hard to find posts once you're looking for something specific ... it's annoying; it's not a good user experience!

@dan @ned anybody listening?

The Clients are Always Right ... especially when they are wrong !!

let it be that people are just whining ... those people are your clients; you need to do something!

put a list together of 5.000-7.500 active users ... you start with the full list and you delete delete delete until you're left with a long list of what are 'good' users, average users, regular users ... FANS!!

and then you give them each 100 steem power ... and why? just so when I search for something I can f'ing find good posts, without having to dive all the way to the bottom!

because that's where most posts are now ... there's no middle field; it looks good from the top, but there's no middle field ... you don't need to create a middle field, you just need to pump some more steem power into the bottom so it can grow into the middle field FASTER

so ... I said it :D

(if this comment gets enough upvotes I'll do a post about it ...)

Very true. It is so hard to find specific content. Part of this has to be due to tag spamming. I like to look for good photography posts but the vast majority of posts with the #photography tag have nothing to do with photography itself - they are just standard posts that happen to have some images (which may or may not be photographs in them). It seems that people have given up on spamming #introduceyourself and have decided to spam other top tags instead.
