I finally got my first Gold Foil #steemmonsters card from a booster pack today! It is only a Common card, but it is goooold! 😍
I have purchased 19 packs so far now, trying to get as many as I can afford before the Alpha Edition sells out!
Totally understand. We love shiny Pokemon cards even if they're common XD

I never really got into Pokemon, to be honest. My uncle was mad keen on Pokemon Go! and chasing those virtual assets out in the real world, which looks like fun. Hmm, I wonder if there will ever be a #SteemMonsters Go! alternate reality game? Hey, there's an idea! 😂 Thanks for the reply and the upvote.
I played the Gameboy games (and then at least one DS game, they all blend together after a while and even after being anxiously assured of the vast difference in the storylines and cultures and environments of each game I can't get past the EXACT SAME formula of each one XD) so it was pretty easy for me to get into the cards. And then good thing I got into the cards as it was pretty easy to pick up Magic when I met my partner and he taught me how to play XD
I don't play Magic anymore now due to the length of the games being unpredictable, still play Pokemon on occasion as I know the game will be over in half an hour or less.
And I can't get into Steem Monsters for precisely this reason. I would lose a lot of time and money and don't really have much of either of those things to spare XD
I do like PoGo but I'm an adventurer not a collector, looks like they're making at least an attempt to cater for my kind of player with the
questsresearch tasks but I still need proper battling.I think if they made 'Steem Monsters Go" and had the option to combine it with Actifit or something they'd be onto a winner XD
That sounds like a great idea! I don't know too much about the Actifit yet, but I assume that it is like a FitBit, and you get rewarded in Steem for your exercise. That would be great when matched up with an outdoors game like a #SteemMonsters flavoured Pokemon Go! alternate reality style game.

Yeah, I've really been hanging out to find a Gold Foil card in a booster pack. I found a Legendary a few days back, for the first time, so now my #SteemMonsters booster pack opening experience is complete ... well, until I find a Gold Foil Legendary card, that is, haha.
