Strategy #3: Buy/Sell. Sound easy, you just buy and sell - easy as 123. Wrong, I feel this is the hardest strategy of them all. The markets can be a very hard thing to gauge. A perfect example is the addition of the newly released beta legendary cards that have changed the market dynamic overnight.

Pick a card buy it then wait for it to go up then sell. The problem is if you are also playing the game you can't sell you cards you use. The best way around this is to buy in quantities of 2 or more. This will allow you to sell as the price increases but also allow you to keep cards to play with.

The hard part is determining what to buy. Do you buy the cheap cards or the expensive cards? You can drive yourself crazy trying to figure that out. The first thing you should do is determine your risk level. Do you feel comfortable putting $10 into cards or $1000. It would be best to treat this as an investment with the knowledge that you may just lose it all.

Once you have determined your risk level you need to think about your investment time frame. Do you want to hold for months or days. Sell when the price goes up 10% or 100% (or any other percentage you like). There are lots of things that goes into your buying decisions that only you can determine. If you have never invested or bought/sold collectibles I'd recommend going slow. The markets can turn cold just as fast as they get hot and even the best trader will lose on trades.

Each rarity level has their own index score and is calculated by taking the current value of all cards in the rarity level and dividing it by the total value of the rarity level on Jan 17th, 2019. The result is the percentage change of the rarity level from the index inception point.

Beta commons index 90.48

Beta rare index 99.76

Beta epic index 84.51

Beta legendary index 92.28

Markets are all down. Most likely due to people selling to buy the new legendary beta cards.
