The good news is the wallet is separate so when Steemit goes the entire system won't be dragged down. A smart move, actually. They should just let dapps take center stage and focus on the wallet and blockchain. Drug Wars is crushing it on Dapps usage, and Steem Monsters will probably grow even more with non-steemit users now that the wallet is separate, so Steem looks safe.
Good point. I wish I could look at the numbers but there's a chance Steemit is now viable. Worst case they should be able to freeze development and only run the website.
