And The Steem Monsters Tournament Prize Pool Continues to Grow...
If it's been a while since you checked in on Steem Monsters now is the time to give it another go. You see, along with the recent launch of Automated Tournaments came a new feature on the Tournaments page that let's you see both paid (awarded) prizes and upcoming ones.
And the Prize Pool is looking really healthy too, with over $5000 USD committed to win in the next few weeks.

Anyway the prize pool is also based on the current STEEM exchange rate, so if the price of STEEM goes up, so does the prize value.

And you'll see that this isn't just Steem Monsters INC setting up tournaments, it's actually the community embracing the concept too.
So everything looks to be working out according to plan.
Now we just need a few more players filling out the tournaments.
So if you have some Steem Monsters Cards, then consider giving a tournament a try. It's actually quite fun and doesn't take up too much time.
Just make sure you choose a format that suits the level of your cards, so you stand a fair chance in the battles.
And hey, who knows you might actually prefer them over grinding reward cards everyday.

I don't think that my Max Deck Tournament will go ahead, judging by the response to my post about it - that will wipe $1k out of that prize pool. :D
Ouch! That's a big hit. Of course, it wouldn't be hard to create a few tournaments long into the future to boost the prize pool too! (artificially inflated of course)
