SteemMonsters - How a DApp can solve one of the Steem issues

Hello,

did you ever hear about Steemmonsters? If not, where have you lived? Not on the Steem Chain.

It is one of the projects that give life and perspective to Steem. Steem as a social media platform did not break the wall to be an authority in the field, like for example Medium.

Why do people post on Medium where you need to pay to read an article? Because of the authority it has gotten. Authorities in their field post on other sites like Medium. We had Neil Strauss in here, which is an authority and posts tremendous good articles. He posted even an interview with Elon Musk on Steem, but did we, and by we I say the Steemians, succeed to keep him in here active?
No we did not. The major problem of Steem is not the sign up problem (which is still an issue as accounts don't get registered, well Ned might have fired the account pusher guy) but a retention one. This is the biggest issue. People come here in 99% of the cases for the money. Else they would remain on Facebook where it is easier to post and keep contact with the ones you want.

One of the things that can solve the retention problem is Steem Monsters. It is an DApp that runs on the blockchain, where you don't need to post something.

A little investment is required to play. Yes, to have some good experience, you are required to invest. That is not bad, because free things in life are mostly crap. In everything you need to invest something.

Why do I say this can solve the retention issue? Because people love to play and people love to win. The little perks and rewards that can be won are loved by the most of the people.

It is somewhat a paid to win. But if you max everything out you are not guaranteed to take a win. A certain skill is needed to understand the cards and anticipate the opponent. You need to think a little.
